The Yacht

Carmina Mare is a long-range bluewater motorsailer built for cruising the world’s oceans in style and grace. Under sail, she has a wonderfully smooth and easy motion at sea. Cutter-rigged, all working sails are roller-reefing/furling. Her fuel supply gives her a 2000-mile range under power.

The two-cockpit design is a unique feature of this yacht. The center cockpit is a helm station with seating for five. There is also an inside helm station. The multi-purpose aft cockpit has a table and seating for six. There is a walk-thru transom door, a swim platform with a boarding ladder, and a hot water shower. It is a perfect platform for swimming and skin/scuba diving. This aft cockpit also features a live bait tank and is ideal for sport fishing. Finally it is one of the best spots on the boat to enjoy a lobster dinner at sunset.

Carmina Mare is a very safe, strongly built vessel with over-sized standing rigging. The lifelines have safety netting to ensure that everything stays onboard. The yacht is equipped with an eight-man life raft and an EPIRB. Everything the Coast Guard requires for safety and then some. This fine yacht features state-of-the-art navigation, autopilot, and communication systems. She carries plenty of fresh water and has a fresh water maker. A 2000-watt inverter and an 8 kW generator supply all the electricity needed.

The tri-cabin layout allows plenty of privacy and space for up to six guests on the overnight adventures to Santa Catalina Island or the other Channel Islands off the coast of Southern California. The large portlights make the saloon very bright and appealing. On daysails guests are welcome to sunbathe and enjoy an occasional sea spray anywhere on the teak decks. With cushioned seating throughout and warm dry berths, Carmina Mare is a very comfortable yacht.
